Steve Jobs’ Signature Outfit: Issey Miyake turtleneck, Levi’s Denim and New Balance sneakers 👟
As early as the 1990s, Jobs would begin to wear the same outfit every single day: a black turtleneck, blue Levi’s denim and sneakers, mostly by New Balance. Which was very unusual for a CEO of a billion dollar company.
The story started back in the 1980s when Steve decided to take a trip to Japan, which was a country that he always admired. There, he took a tour of one of Sony’s factories, where he noticed that all of the workers would be wearing the same outfit every day. Their outfits were designed by Japanese designer Issey Miyake, who designed the outfits to give a feeling of unity between the workers.
Jobs really liked this idea and decided that he’d wear the same outfit every day in order to establish a signature style for himself.
Soon after that, Issey provided Jobs with many copies of the same outfit, which would go on to become his signature outfit until he passed away in 2011.

And we don’t even sell fuckin’ turtleneck here!!!
